What is Dealer Portal?

A dealer portal is a secure B2B platform that gives authorized dealers access to products, prices, availability, ordering, marketing materials, documents, warranties, and account information. Access and content can vary by dealer tier, territory, or contract.
Dealer portals are common where a brand sells through authorized resellers, installers, service partners, or franchise-like networks. The portal gives those partners a controlled digital environment for ordering products and accessing the information needed to sell or service them. Features can vary by dealer level, territory, certification, or contractual status.
A dealer portal may provide:
• Dealer-specific pricing, products, promotions, order history, and availability.
• Parts lookup, compatibility information, technical documents, and warranty resources.
• Lead distribution, quote tools, marketing assets, or co-op program information.
• Role-based access for sales, service, finance, and branch-level users.
The distinction from a generic B2B storefront is the partner relationship. Dealers may have territorial rights, product authorizations, service obligations, or incentives that the system must enforce. Integration with CRM, ERP, PIM, and service systems is therefore common, particularly when the portal is expected to become the main operational channel between the brand and its dealer network.
Example: An authorized automotive dealer may receive regional parts pricing, warranty resources, marketing assets, and lead information that are unavailable to ordinary buyers.
