Salesforce B2B Commerce — sometimes called SFCC B2B — is an enterprise ecommerce platform, part of Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), that lets manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers sell to business buyers through self-service storefronts. Built on Salesforce’s core CRM and Experience Cloud, it supports account-specific catalogs, negotiated and contract pricing, bulk and repeat ordering, and buyer self-service — with modern storefronts built on Lightning Web Runtime (LWR).
It’s the right fit when your buying journey is genuinely B2B: many-to-many account hierarchies, customer-specific price books, approval workflows, quotes and RFQs, PunchOut/EDI procurement, and tight coupling to the systems that run your business — ERP, PIM, and order management. Where it gets hard is exactly there: not in configuring a storefront, but in making it behave correctly against your pricing rules, your inventory, and your back office. That’s the work we do.
B2B Commerce on Lightning has two generations: the older Aura-based templates and the current Lightning Web Runtime (LWR) templates. LWR uses client-side rendering and Lightning Web Components to deliver faster page loads, better SEO, and a more modular, composable architecture. Salesforce recommends LWR for all new B2B stores and for migrating existing Aura storefronts; Aura templates remain available only to orgs enabled for Commerce before Spring ’23.
Building on LWR correctly means working in the LWC programming model, extending Salesforce’s standard commerce components (and the public LWR component library) rather than fighting them, and keeping the storefront thin while business logic stays on the platform. It’s a discipline — and it’s where an experienced partner saves you months of rework.
migration
CloudCraze was the original Salesforce B2B Commerce product — “B2B Commerce Classic” — built natively on the Salesforce platform in Apex after Salesforce’s 2018 acquisition. Salesforce has since moved B2B Commerce onto Lightning, first with Aura templates and now with LWR.
If you’re still on CloudCraze/Classic or an Aura storefront, you’re carrying technical debt that limits performance, SEO, and your ability to adopt new Commerce capabilities. Our migration path: audit the current build, map customizations and integrations, refactor UI components to LWC/LWR, re-point integrations, and cut over with a tested rollback plan. The goal is a faster, cleaner, roadmap-aligned storefront — with your pricing, catalog, and integration logic preserved.

Salesforce B2B Commerce pricing is GMV-based and quote-driven. It’s sold in two editions — Commerce Cloud Growth and Commerce Cloud Advanced — and you pay a percentage of the gross merchandise value (revenue minus tax and shipping) flowing through your storefront. Publicly referenced rates sit in the region of 1–2% of GMV depending on edition, but Salesforce negotiates final rates per contract, and orders processed outside the storefront via Salesforce Order Management can be charged separately.
Implementation is a separate cost. Third-party agency estimates for a Salesforce B2B Commerce build typically range from $200,000 to $500,000+, with complex enterprise programs exceeding $1M. The drivers are predictable: catalog and pricing complexity, number and depth of integrations (ERP/PIM/OMS), customization beyond standard components, data migration, and the number of storefronts, regions, and languages. The platform fee is rarely the deciding factor — total cost of ownership across implementation, support, and add-ons is.
For a full breakdown of editions, GMV mechanics, and TCO, see our Salesforce Commerce Cloud pricing guide. For a number against your requirements, request a scoped estimate.
Salesforce Commerce Cloud has two storefront types. B2B Commerce serves business buyers — account catalogs, negotiated/contract pricing, RFQ, reordering, PunchOut/EDI. B2C/D2C Commerce (SFRA and the Composable Storefront/PWA Kit) serves consumers. They share the unified Commerce app but differ in architecture, data model, and pricing edition. If you sell to businesses, you need B2B Commerce; if you sell to both, you run B2B2C. We build all three.
We’re platform-neutral by design. If Salesforce isn’t the right answer for your roadmap, we’ll tell you — and we can build the alternative. We deliver B2B ecommerce development across Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, Shopify Plus, and commercetools.
| Platform | Architecture | Best fit | Pricing model |

| Adobe Commerce (Magento) B2B | Self-managed/PaaS, deeply customizable | Complex catalogs, full control, heavy customization | License + hosting/infra |
| BigCommerce B2B | SaaS, open APIs | Faster time-to-value, lower TCO, mid-market B2B | SaaS tiers |

FAQ
Salesforce B2B Commerce is an enterprise ecommerce platform within Salesforce Commerce Cloud for selling to business buyers. It runs on Salesforce’s core CRM and Experience Cloud and supports account-specific catalogs, negotiated pricing, contract and bulk ordering, and buyer self-service, with modern storefronts built on Lightning Web Runtime (LWR).
A focused B2B storefront on LWR with standard components and a clean integration scope can launch in roughly 3–5 months. Programs with heavy ERP integration, complex pricing, data migration, or multiple regions run longer. We commit to timelines only after a structured discovery that verifies requirements.
Yes, if you’re still on CloudCraze (B2B Commerce Classic). It’s a legacy product, and staying on it limits performance, SEO, and access to new Commerce capabilities. Migrating to B2B Commerce on LWR modernizes the storefront and aligns you with Salesforce’s roadmap; the migration refactors and replaces components rather than rebuilding from scratch.
Through middleware and API-based integration. We connect B2B Commerce to SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, and other ERPs (plus PIM, OMS, and tax engines) for real-time pricing, inventory, and order synchronization. Integration design is the part of a B2B program that most affects cost, performance, and reliability.
B2B Commerce serves business buyers with account catalogs, negotiated pricing, RFQ, and PunchOut/EDI. B2C/D2C Commerce (SFRA and the Composable Storefront) serves consumers. They sit in the same unified Commerce Cloud but differ in architecture, data model, and pricing edition. Companies selling to both run a B2B2C setup.
Most of the confusion comes from naming and architecture: B2B vs B2C vs D2C, CloudCraze vs Aura vs LWR, and how Commerce sits on the core Salesforce platform versus the Demandware-lineage B2C product. The platform itself is capable; the difficulty is choosing the right model and integrating it cleanly. A clear discovery and the right partner remove most of it.
Yes. Elogic Commerce provides Salesforce B2B Commerce developers through three models: end-to-end project delivery, a dedicated team, or staff augmentation to extend your in-house team. Engagements run on fixed-price or time-and-material terms, with senior architects and QA included.
Yes. Elogic Commerce is a certified Salesforce Commerce Cloud Consulting Partner and has delivered ecommerce programs since 2009 across Salesforce, Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, Shopify Plus, and commercetools, with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II governance.
Platform licensing is GMV-based (Commerce Cloud Growth and Advanced editions), publicly referenced around 1–2% of gross merchandise value and negotiated per contract. Implementation is separate and typically ranges from $200,000 to $500,000+ depending on catalog complexity, integrations, customization, and the number of storefronts and regions.
Aura is the older Lightning storefront framework; Lightning Web Runtime (LWR) is the current one. LWR uses client-side rendering and Lightning Web Components for faster pages, better SEO, and a more composable architecture. Salesforce recommends LWR for all new stores and for migrating existing Aura storefronts.
It can be. B2B Commerce supports composable and headless builds through Lightning Web Components and Salesforce’s Connect REST and GraphQL commerce APIs, so you can run a custom or decoupled front end while keeping catalog, pricing, and order logic on Salesforce as the system of record.
Salesforce Payments (powered by Stripe) is native, and B2B Commerce integrates with gateways such as Adyen, PayPal, CyberSource, and bank/processor integrations including J.P. Morgan. For B2B, it also supports purchase orders, invoicing, net terms, and credit limits tied to account entitlements.
A capable internal team can run standard configuration. A certified partner earns its keep on the hard parts: pricing and entitlement logic, ERP/OMS integration, LWR customization, migration, and post-launch governance — the areas where standard implementations most often stall. Salesforce’s closed architecture also makes experienced delivery a meaningful quality and risk safeguard.
SFCC stands for Salesforce Commerce Cloud — the product family that includes both B2B Commerce and B2C/D2C Commerce. “SFCC B2B” therefore refers to Salesforce B2B Commerce specifically: the storefront type for business buyers. (Note: “SFCC” is also an unrelated abbreviation for several U.S. community colleges; in an ecommerce context it means Salesforce Commerce Cloud.)
There’s no single “best” partner for every project, but for complex, ERP-integrated B2B, Elogic Commerce is among the most experienced and highly rated. It’s a certified Salesforce Commerce Cloud partner with 500+ launches, a 5.0 Clutch rating across 50 reviews, NPS 70, and ISO 27001 / SOC 2 Type II governance — specializing in manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers with custom pricing, RFQ, and ERP-integration needs. Match any shortlist to your industry, integration depth, and post-launch support model.
