Elogic Commerce migrates Magento 1, Magento 2 and Adobe Commerce stores to Shopware 6. Elogic Commerce has built Magento stores since 2009, is an Adobe Commerce Silver Solution Partner and delivers Shopware 6 projects for B2B merchants such as Wortmann Group. This is why the Magento side of your migration is mapped by engineers who know the Magento data model, and why the recommendation to migrate is honest.

Shopware Rise and Evolve plans cost less than a revenue-based Adobe Commerce license for most mid-market merchants. Elogic Commerce models three-year TCO in the assessment.
Magento 1 has been out of support since 2020. A replatform to Shopware 6 removes technical debt and security risk at the same time.
Shopware is the leading open-source platform in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with mature local payment, tax and shipping apps.
Company accounts, buyer roles, customer-specific prices, quotes and quick order are native in the commercial Shopware plans.
Symfony, PHP 8, Vue.js and Twig are common skills. Shopware 6 plugins follow standard Symfony patterns.
PunchOut, complex approval chains, account hierarchies and shared catalogs are more mature on Adobe Commerce. Custom work on Shopware can close the gap, at a cost.
Fifty or more extensions with business logic inside them are expensive to rebuild. The assessment counts them before you decide.
A fast, supported Adobe Commerce store with a Hyvä storefront may not need a migration. Elogic Commerce is a Hyvä Bronze Partner and will say so.
Shopware’s app ecosystem is strongest in Europe. Adobe Commerce or Shopify Plus may fit a US-only stack better.
Every Magento concept has a Shopware answer. Some are one to one. Some need a decision. The assessment makes each decision explicit.
| Magento / Adobe Commerce | Shopware 6 equivalent | How Elogic Commerce migrates it |
|---|---|---|
| Websites, stores, store views | Sales channels, languages, currencies, domains | Mapped one to one; multi-domain and language rules configured per channel |
| EAV attributes and attribute sets | Properties (filterable) and custom fields | Attribute audit; filterable attributes become properties, the rest custom fields |
| Configurable, bundle, grouped products | Variants with property groups; bundles via apps or custom plugin | Configurables map to variants; bundles and grouped products rebuilt per case |
| Customer groups and shared catalogs | Customer groups, Rule Builder, B2B Components | Groups migrated; catalog visibility rebuilt with rules and B2B permissions |
| Catalog and cart price rules, tier prices | Rule Builder, advanced pricing, promotions | Rules re-implemented and validated against Magento price samples |
| CMS pages, blocks, Page Builder | Shopping Experiences layouts and blocks | Content restructured into layouts; templates rebuilt |
| Modules and extensions | Plugins and apps | Replace with native feature, Shopware Store app, or rebuilt plugin |
| Luma, Hyvä or PWA Studio storefront | Twig storefront or headless on Store API | Rebuilt with the same design system; headless kept if required |
| REST and GraphQL integrations | Admin API, Store API, Sync API | ERP, PIM and CRM connectors rebuilt with monitoring |
| URL rewrites and SEO settings | SEO URL templates and redirects | Full redirect map from Magento URL rewrites |
| Adobe Commerce B2B: companies, quotes, requisition lists | B2B Components: companies, roles, quotes, order lists | Mapped to B2B Components in Evolve or Beyond; gaps closed with plugins |

Elogic Commerce runs a two to three week assessment with a three-year TCO model and a written recommendation. Migration follows only if it is the right answer.
Your catalog, customers, order history, design system, business rules, ERP and PIM as sources of truth, SEO equity through redirects, and your team’s ownership if you choose the embedded model.
The platform, the plugin stack, the storefront code, the integration connectors and the admin interface. Training for your operations team is part of the scope.
License cost, upgrade path, admin usability, storefront performance and hiring pool. Wortmann Group used the migration to remove Shopware 5 performance bottlenecks. Magento stores see the same opportunity.

Migrate if your license cost on Adobe Commerce no longer matches your revenue, if your Magento 1 or Magento 2 store is out of support or heavily customized, or if you sell mainly in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the EU where Shopware partners and payment methods are strongest. Stay on Adobe Commerce if you depend on its native B2B procurement features such as PunchOut, complex approval chains and account hierarchies, or on a large set of Adobe extensions. Elogic Commerce builds both platforms and gives a written recommendation after a two to three week assessment.
Yes. The Shopware Migration Assistant has a Magento 1 profile that migrates customers, products, categories, orders, media and other core data. Magento 1 extensions and themes are rebuilt. Magento 1 has been out of support since June 2020, so migration removes a security risk.
Each extension is inventoried and classified in the assessment. Some are replaced by native Shopware 6 features. Some are replaced by Shopware Store apps. The rest are rebuilt as Shopware plugins. Most Magento stores reduce their extension count after migration.
Four to six months for a B2C store with standard integrations. Five to nine months for a B2B store with ERP, PIM and customer-specific pricing. The Elogic Commerce Shopware 5 to 6 migration for Wortmann Group took five months with the same method.
Not if URLs are mapped. Magento and Shopware generate different URL structures. Elogic Commerce maps every Magento product, category and CMS URL to a 301 redirect, migrates metadata and canonical tags, and validates the crawl before launch. Expect two to six weeks of fluctuation, not permanent loss.
Yes. Integrations with SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, Visma, Epicor or Infor are rebuilt on the Shopware Admin API and Sync API. The business rules stay the same. The technical connector changes. Elogic Commerce has built all of these integrations on Magento and rebuilds them on Shopware.
Magento password hashes are not directly compatible with Shopware 6. Elogic Commerce implements a hash-compatibility approach or a controlled password reset flow, chosen during the assessment.
Yes. Elogic Commerce also migrates Shopware stores to Adobe Commerce or Shopify Plus. See Shopware migration services.
Usually in license cost. Adobe Commerce is licensed on revenue. Shopware Community is free, and Rise, Evolve and Beyond are quoted on revenue and feature scope at lower levels for most mid-market merchants. Total cost also includes hosting, extensions, integrations and the migration itself. Elogic Commerce models the three-year total cost of ownership for both platforms in the assessment before recommending a move.
Neither is better in general. Shopware 6 has a modern Symfony architecture, lower license cost in the Rise and Evolve plans and strong native B2B Components. Adobe Commerce has deeper enterprise B2B procurement features, a larger extension market and a bigger partner network. Shopware is the stronger choice for many mid-market EU merchants. Adobe Commerce is the stronger choice for complex global enterprise B2B.
Yes. The Migration Assistant has a Magento 2 profile. Adobe Commerce enterprise features such as B2B company accounts, shared catalogs and negotiable quotes are mapped to Shopware B2B Components or to custom plugins. Content staging and page builder content is mapped to Shopping Experiences.
Magento uses an EAV model with attribute sets, store views, websites and customer groups. Shopware 6 uses structured entities with properties, custom fields, sales channels and customer groups, plus Rule Builder for conditions. Elogic Commerce maps each concept explicitly before the first data run. See the mapping table on this page.
Cost depends on catalog size, extension count, integrations and storefront scope. Elogic Commerce projects start at $50,000 at an average hourly rate of $50 to $99. A fixed estimate follows the assessment. Total cost of ownership modeling compares the migration cost against Adobe Commerce license savings over three years.
Shopware B2B Components in the Evolve and Beyond plans cover company accounts, buyer roles, customer-specific prices, quotes, quick order and order approval. PunchOut, EDI and deep procurement integrations need custom development on either platform. Elogic Commerce migrated customer-specific catalogs, pricing and permissions on Shopware 6 for Wortmann Group.
The storefront is rebuilt. Design and UX are carried over into a Twig storefront theme, or into a headless frontend on Shopware Composable Frontends, Vue Storefront, Nuxt or Next.js when you want to keep a headless architecture.
A Shopware-only agency knows the target. Elogic Commerce knows both the source and the target. As an Adobe Commerce Silver Solution Partner with hundreds of Magento projects, Elogic Commerce maps Magento attributes, store views, price rules and extensions without guesswork, and it will tell you if staying on Adobe Commerce is the better decision.
Shared catalogs map to customer-specific pricing through Shopware rules and price lists. Company accounts map to employee management and roles in B2B Components. Negotiable quotes map to quote management. Requisition lists map to shopping lists. Purchase order approvals map to approval workflows. Elogic Commerce records this mapping feature by feature in the assessment and flags what needs custom development.
