To distribute their products to the USA, Turcom Electronics, Turkish consumer electronics brand, used a number of channels including their own ecommerce website. Wholesalers, dropshipping companies and regular buyers shopped on TurcomUSA.com for various kinds of tech gadgets including security cameras, Bluetooth speakers, led lamps, and graphic drawing tablets.
While Turcom’s products sold successfully on marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay, their own website failed to bring a sufficient number of sales.
To improve the user experience and increase sales, Turcom owners decided to redesign their website and build new functionality as well as migrate the TurcomUSA.com from Magento 1 to Magento 2. They hired us to implement custom functionality and implement the migration.
The new TurcomUSA.com website was supposed to become faster, easier in navigation, and it was supposed to boost conversions. Our work on the project included the following milestones:

It took us about four months to implement the entire project. Our development team included backend and frontend developers, a project manager and a quality assurance specialist. We also teamed up with a design team located in Romania to collaborate on design implementation, and with the Turcom’s store managers and marketers to test the website functionality
The new Turcom’s website offers great user experience with social login and registration, smart search, Amazon-like customer reviews, estimated delivery dates, one-step-checkout, and clean user interface. In spite of common fear that customers need to get used to a new version of the website, the number of sales on the new online Turcom store increased within the first two weeks – and that is always the real reward.
