Magento 2 store development

The age of paper catalogs is far gone. B2B buyers want to find complex products easily, just like in B2C, using an intuitive website with relevant search results and product content. That’s why building a Magento 2 website from scratch was a no-brainer for SoloTop. Easy-to-navigate user interface localized into Finnish now allows B2B clients to find whatever machinery and equipment they are looking for, log in to their personal accounts, and see special pricing and product availability.

PIM & Epicor ERP integration

Complex products require sophisticated custom solutions. SoloTop decided to align its processes using Epicor ERP, which we integrated via the Epicor Commerce Connect (ECC) with a custom PIM. Now, the SoloTop ecommerce team can easily manage inventory thanks to a comprehensive view of the product info and order flow. Supplier invoicing became more transparent too. Upon login, customers can also access custom pricing and see all their orders placed online and offline in a single dashboard.

SEO & speed optimization

To help the brand stay discoverable on search engines, Elogic has implemented the best Magento SEO practices and optimized the website speed. These included Varnish cache and Redis configuration as well as clear-cut product and category trees for faster page load. The server environment was also set with extra firewalls for improved website performance.

Integration with Google Analytics

Google Analytics is an essential part of any B2B marketing effort. Now, SoloTop can track company sales, product views, and customer groups and use that data to launch new marketing campaigns.

    SoloTop Oy is a Finnish manufacturer of solutions for weighing, retail, food, and logistics industries. Founded in 1975, the company operates in the Nordic region of Europe and continuously improves its product development to establish their position both in retail and in wholesale. Just like its Wexon sister company, SoloTop acts as a technical consultant providing top-notch maintenance for its products in the food industry and offers technical support to big and small businesses.

     

    To live up to the changing expectations of B2B customers and streamline its procurement management processes, SoloTop was looking for a reliable tech partner with prior experience implementing complex ecommerce solutions. Word of mouth brought them to Elogic.

    The choice of Elogic as an ecommerce development partner was a no-brainer for SoloTop since we have already had fruitful cooperation on its sister project — Wexon.

     

    Indeed, Elogic has built muscle with complex server environment settings and Epicor ERP system integration and fulfilled the company’s requirements to a tee. Even though both businesses sell seemingly different products, we have managed to reuse the code of Wexon for SoloTop and followed coding best practices to reduce the time of development by 2.5 times!

     

    Eventually, SoloTop saw a brand new Magento store with a highly intuitive, easy-to-navigate user interface allowing B2B buyers to request quotes and instantly complete purchases. A complex PIM & Epicor ERP integration via the ECC connector improved employee efficiency and ensured customers can see all their orders in the palm of their hand. New products were added without disrupting the website performance, and the tax flow was adjusted accordingly.

    But one thing that left the client more satisfied than ever was the transparency of the project management. We have delivered the project with 125% accuracy with no overhead costs or missed deadlines. SoloTop is now leveraging their website as a powerful tool to generate higher sales and retain more customers.
